I already avoid using an autoformer the "poor mans way" by having a dedicated shore power cord for the converter, while running the rest of the RV off the inverter. That's why I'm after the siren song of 3600 watts of psw inverter.
It is interesting to hear you call a 3000 watt genny marginal. I did go with the iSEB version of the Yamaha. It does start my 13500 with the eco switch on. I did use the genny for 25 hours at a cost of $59.00 on my most recent trip. If I had the psw inverter I could cut that cost fairly dramatically.
