  • I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but for anyone interested in Magnum inverters I was able to buy an MS2800 pure sine wave unit from Amazon for $1564 (with free shipping) which is at least $250 less than it can be purchased for anywhere else I am aware of. They're currently out of stock, but the website says more will be available. The unit was new in a factory-sealed carton.
  • The options seem very good. Really nice device family. I wonder how it senses it is needed?

Some rep from Magnum popped in here a couple of times to give some prelim info on these. I'd pair this with a used Honda 2000W. Cool stuff! One of the inputs can be from a generator so I don't see why another inverter wouldn't work. Probably not an officially supported source I'd bet.
  • I did not know such a device existed. Very cool indeed, say for starting AC units on a marginal circuit or from a genset that would run them if it could start them.

    Very nice!
