Magnum MMS1012 settings

I replaced my batteries and am being told the best setting on my magnum inverter is AGM1 ( By Lifeline ) . . I have read the manual 2 times, and searched online with no luck... Below is a picture of the control panel . . I have emailed Magnum, but no response.?

  • AGM-1 is a specific set up Magnum has for LIFELINE batteries only. All other AGM's use AGM-2. Failure to use AGM-1 on Lifeline batteries will cause failure of the Lifeline batteries. Doug
  • Call em'. They are in the Seattle area, all nice folk, and actually speak english
  • Thanks all.... I could not find that manual for nothing . . . It's clear as day on page #10 ! Thanks guys !

  • Please come back if you are able to set AGM-2 mode.

    I have been running a MMS 1012 for three years with a RC-25 remote because it came bundled. I did some research on the MMS 1012 and came to the conclusion that the MMS 1012 did not have all the settings you are seeing in your remote.

    My research found that the MMS 1012 switches from FLA to AGM-1 when the RC-25 remote is used. There are no other settings. I did add the RTS cable for temp-comp charging.

    My telco batteries are spec'ed 14.4V charge and 13.5V float. The MMS is always wrong on the low side. I have plenty of smart solar to finish the job correctly.

    Thanks;
    John
