Yes that was my first thought and as mentioned in the original post, I have replaced it. It's of course possible that the replacement one is defective too, but I would find that less likely.
I should have mentioned the 30 amp power cord MALE end. WHAT DO THE 2 FLAT BLADES LOOK LIKE? Odds are they are corroded/pitted/burned from 15 years of use. Once the 30 amp blades get old and worn, you should ALWAYS replace the 30 amp male end. THAT worn plug will cause heat and amp build up. Doug
