Main breaker trips with A/C and Microwave on.->RESOLVED

My main circuit breaker trips if we start the microwave when the A/C is running. Today when it happened, I forgot to turn off the AC before resetting the breaker and the A/C wouldn't start. I turned i...

A/C compressor motor startup current surge level can be 3-5 times the running current, varies from model to model, Capacitor start, capacitor run, split phase, etc.

Microwaves only draw power at peak AC voltage cycles, often driving the Pf, Power Factor, into orbit.

So it all depends..
