Maxxair or Fan-tastic?

I prefer the Fantastic Fan/Vent because the one we had was very quiet, which you indicate is important. We have a fan in the toyhauler that isn't a Fantastic Fan and it is very loud. There's no name on it so I don't know what brand it is, but it's not a Fantastic Fan.

If it were me I'd try to find a dealer that had some you could listen to. The difference between the Fantastic Fan and what we have now is tremendous.

I have 2 of the MaxxFans with remotes. We really like them. I believe the 4500k deluxe model. They move a lot of air and are quiet. The remote will allow them to turn on or off, change speed based on temperature.

Fantastic, not cheap but great to deal with IMO. On the remote...I also wondered why would I want a remote.

The first time you lay down in bed, get all comfortable, almost in la-la land, ready to cut some Zzzz's and then somebody has to get up and shut off the fan... you'll know why remote is so handy.

I moved my bedroom fan (without remote) to kitchen overhead vent and installed fan with remote in bedroom. Worked out great for me.

Also have the Maxxfan with the thermostat and remote and like it a lot.

I installed a maxxaire that had the fan/motor to the rear facing downward so it could be left open/running in the rain. didn't have/need a rain sensor which would have been problematic.

I installed Fantastic and it works very well. Rain sensor but no cover works for me.
I am sure Maxxair is just as good. Get the features you want.

Where is the electric motor manufactured? With the Fantastic Fan the motor is actually made in Japan. Bottom line - near unbelievably long lifespan with my three Fantastic Fan Endless Breeze units. Yes they are pricey. No, I would not consider down-grading. I have accumulated too much land-fill grade garbage as it is.

I put a Maxair fan in my last TT, the temp controlled version with the built in hood. Worked good for a couple years till I sold the TT.

My 5er came with a fantastic vent fan with rain sensor on the roof, and a piece of junk upstairs. I swapped the upstairs unit out with a Maxair, temp controlled with the built in hood. Of the two I think the Maxair if quieter, but they are both very quiet on the lower speeds, and both move a lot of air when cranked up.

Our Fantasyic fan quit last year. Replaced with a Maxx fan and we love it
