If the powermax adjustables are too rich for your blood, the only other 'higher amp', reasonably priced choice I know of is the turnigy 1080w (60a) for $130, compared to Randy's 60a for $210. But for an extra 10 bucks you could get the 75er and an additional 15 amps! The powermax units are pretty sturdy, but so is the turnigy apparently. Either would serve your needs well, I would think.
EDIT: Turnigy 1080w will not work. It is not current limited in its design, and the sudden short amp spike at the moment it's turned on will activate it's over current protection.
