Can't say about durability except about the thermistor business as posted earlier. I have had my PM3-100 for about three years now.
If you are worried, then you can always get the same thing by buying a one of the new adjustables from Randy or PowerMax itself if Randy doesn't have access to other sizes besides the three he shows (there was some hint that he can get you an adjustable 100 for about $275 was it?) --yipes-- but then you do get a three year warranty.
Or you can risk $160 and get the old PM3-100 and modify it. I think a PF corrected 100 will run on a Honda 2000 but maybe not. Must be close to max. A 75 would.
