Mean Well RSP-1500-15 Power Supply
I'll get to the point. Landyacht mentioned that this supply needs 17A. I don't see anything in a specs that mention this. Also, the specs say it's PF corrected. What am I missing? Thanks. Specs Me...

Don't operate it at its maximum output current and it will work fine.
It may even work at or very near maximum output current since its specifications are so close to 15 amps...
Unless you are going to be pot twiddling through out the whole bulk stage, this is not going to work. The meanwell advantage is it will do maximum output until battery voltage rises to near the voltage set by the pot. My 500 watt supply will do near 600 watts until battery voltage gets up near 14.7. You would have to keep the pot dial within a few tenths to keep it from maxing out on a large depleted bank. Too much work.. I wish it were easier for me to get my clamp on meter over a single ac line to check what it pulls when putting out 590 watts. See if it the same as the spec sheet.
