That next storm, Rachel should not be a threat, but the forecast models have been very inaccurate this year.
I wish it would do a Marie and pump epic swell northward, but no such luck.
The test is still ongoing, though the stress part is well over.
No smoke, no human throttle, it held 40.92 amps for 23 minutes before tapering began. I had set it to 14.71v and then plugged it into the battery. Have not touched trim pot since.
Case did get pretty warm. I envision a future aluminum porcupine and another fan across it.
Not confident in my ability to get that diode inline right now, would need more instructions as I am No EE or anywhere near. Only Gots a 40 Watt Weller iron too
I was really hoping for something simple that I could just run inline on one wire and drop the voltage a bit. Couple ring terminals, couple machine thread screws. whafreaking LAaa.
How damaging could an overnight 13.34v be on a flooded battery anyway in ~60f ambients?
