From landy's images. I do NOT like what I see with regards to the zinc oxide used on the heat sink. The contact area is too small. Find out why. Either the mating surfaces are not parallel or too little zinc compound was applied. The zinc is supposed to fill in micro surface irregularities. Don't slather it on. The heat transfer compound is not intended to be mortar. But it SHOULD get at least 80& contact as a minimum preferably 100% between mating surfaces. This is where ARCTIC SILVER shines. It darned near makes the interface act like a solid piece of metal, thermal wise.
