Hmmmm .... I thought the PD pedestal allowed you to go to and hold as often as and as long as you wanted .... it's 14.XX boost voltage level?
Are you saying that A) the pedestal doesn't allow one to do that, or are you saying that B) 15.XX voltages are better than 14.XX voltages? Most of the posts I've read on wet cell battery charging say that "normal 14.XX boost voltages" wind up allowing one to bring their batteries up to over 90% in 3-4 hours on a generator ... hence PD converter/chargers being "excellent" for dry camping. Now we're discussing that it takes 15.XX voltages instead of 14.XX voltages to do the 3-4 hour drycamping thing?
It seems to me that exposing wet cell LA batteries to 15.XX voltags every time you charge them would necessitate real close monitoring of water levels and ear plugs due to a lot of liquid gurgling. :h
it does from every wet cell i have ever worked with.
my PD9245 has the pendent, i can boost to 14.4 any time i want.
that said my 1093BD will get slightly over 15 at the end of the cycle.
with nothing connected to the battery it will cause them to boil for the last hour or so. you do need to replace water
i can only imagine the boil at 16v
