Phil, MEX has a HUGE 2V bank that he uses a homebrew charger on that cranks out something like 500A. He as well as the rest of us (boondocking types) just want to get the generator/charging done as fast as reasonably possible. PD's and other converters not only reduce absorb voltage/current artificially but end absorb way too soon. You're not talking to noobs here, most of us have used every converter on the market with unsatisfactory results. You and LittleBill continue to use what works for you, your methods don't work at all for us. One size does not fit all, more than one way to skin a cat, etc.
