THE ENTIRE AND WHOLE ISSUE HAS REVOLVED AROUND WHETHER OR NOT A BATTERY IS BEING CHARGED VIA A GENERATOR OR GRAND COULEE DAM.
Somebody is glued to the power post with their ideas. Makes you wonder how long they have sat with a yammering generator in the background. Yes 14.4 can charge batteries. But I dislike marking time off a calendar doing it. With enough money, time and patience I can make a charger do just about anything. But is it WORTH IT? Pendants, buttons, yadda. When I twist a timer dial to charge a battery I do not want to wrestle with existential hypotheses. I am going to be using a WFCO to maintain batteries.....up to a point. A charger with attention deficit disorder. Am I going to disassemble it and reinvent the wheel? No. it is simply not worth it. It is simpler and easier to use a manual charger that has an adjustable "absorbsion" limit pot. How hard is it to twist a dial to set time at absorbsion? I have yet to meet a flooded battery that has the fragile temperament of of an Italian soprano. So what if it charges 15 minutes longer at absorbsion than it "needs to"?
BUT I AM NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO A GENERATOR FOR ENDLESS HOURS. I can listen to a power pedestal - the song they sing does not make me grind my teeth.
