1.280 OEM specific gravity, 1.270 is the bottom line for me for periods of storage. Gravity corrected to 20C.
Battery chemistry rules are iron clad. Unforgiving. A couple of weeks ago (?) the 2-volt cells were taken down to 1.205 We've got the demand LCD meters now so I fired up the Kubota. Got some weak sisters in the bank now. I fear if I cycle them too many more times like that I am going to lose one parallel string :(
Going on 22 years in age. They held a thousand watt (1028) load for three days. The Wallymart 29 didn't pass muster on the exercise very well. I had to use a 300 watt DC to DC bucker to charge it. Four times. Amps are amps and the old wobbly Fantastic fan eats 36 amp hours of 12 volts every day. Coupled with the BiPAP it was too much. Manufacturing date code F8. Six years. The SG is still good but I'm afraid it too will soon be given last rites. The nearest ciclo profundo is a 266 mile round trip and all the LTH batteries locally, curiously seem to be missing the date of manufacture sticker.
105 degree days and 99 degree nights sure make the freezers and refrigerator work. Inside is about four thousand five hundred dollars worth of Jesus' lobster, some Yellowtail and Dorado fillets. Fourteen feet of Torrey freezers and one Viking 28 CF. refrigerator freezer. Poor battery bank.
