When I camp it is serious off the grid and off battery as much as feasible. The novelty of hauling condominium conveniences to the sticks wore off decades ago. Down here hotel rooms are cheaper than RV spaces. And don't forget my rig is umbilical connected to a small house. When the lights go out I keep right on trucking. I shore fish for large mouth bass and brown trout, and do not even own a television. The refrigerator is actually a refrigerator freezer.
Anyhoo having some spare PSW wattage laying around is always nice. The posting is actually about Meanwell having am inverter.
I can tell you haven't booked a room anywhere near good fishing areas around Yellowstone National Park, Montana, Idaho, or Jackson Hole in the last decade... the rooom rack rates would eat your monthly pension/benefits check up in a matter of days.
I went with a honda generator instead, if I need big power for the microwave or soldering irons or toasters or hair dryers. - MrWizardModeratorI have and use soldering iron, soldering gun, electric drills, electric blanket, 20" box fan, etc... etc...
I'm not a weekend camper , I'm a full timer - JiminDenverExplorer IIHopefully they will develop a line up, options are nice to have.

Later this year it may be of interest to us as I figure the cheapo Powerbright CW150 will fail or I will beat it to pieces because the fan runs...a lot.
There is no voltage switch, you order different models for different configurations.

I don't get the watt debate unless there is a huge difference in idle draw. It's a good price for PSW and maybe, just maybe the 130w needed for the TV/sat would not require the fan to run. It would also be nice to add a fan, some phone charging and the laptop without having to turn on the big inverter.
Personally anything PSW and fanless in the 150-400w range would be nice. I'll probably spent the money for the Morningstar 300w just because it is fanless. - AlmotExplorer IIIMex, your setup is not very common. Campers don't play with soldering wire over a weekend, they play with TV and laptop, this is less than 200W altogether.
OTH, a fulltimer would want a microwave, a good vacuum and other things requiring way more than 400W.
360 watt refrigerator must be LP fridge in 110V mode, a bit unusual scenario. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerI guess my 320 watt Weller soldering wire doesn't qualify. The transformer 6volt carbon tip soldering unit. Or my 360 watt refrigerator. Go figure...
Meanwell has a good reputation and competition helps drive retail price down. - mena661Explorer

That seems to be the case most of the time.
When you need more than 300W, you usually need 1,500-2000W. - AlmotExplorer III

Hi Mex,
What is the advantage of this unit over the Go Power or Samlex units?
Slightly cheaper than Go Power 300. Or more watts at the same price.
Though, I don't view extra 100W as an advantage here. When you need more than 300W, you usually need 1,500-2000W. - MrWizardModeratori looked at the PDF
there is NO voltage selection switch
BUT
it can be ordered with European or Australian or USA outlets, 5 options in all
i think the voltage might vary depending on the outlet choice
