How are you going to account for whatever event causes the Mayan end of the World on December 21st? Will it increase or decrease the solar yield? Will it be a one time occurance like a comet strike or a continuing event like a complete loss of the Earth's magnetic fields resulting in the earth searing in solar radiation? Might want to hold off on the final calculations until December 22nd.
I was reading about the difficulty of getting a NEW Mayan calendar and then someone told me you just flip it and it's good for another 5000 years. No worries.
BTW, the cosmologist that lives here told me that the Mayan ending date occurred about a 1 1/2 years ago. Totally missed it, just like Y2K.
