The vf of .67 is EXACTLY the same for the 30-amp and 60 amp schottky rectifiers.
Suddenly the amperage rectification capacity of the Megawatt can be DOUBLED. Ampacity increases in the same TO247 package means a much larger P/N junction area and a 50 volt PIV increase means higher quality junction doping. The TO247's are the same, exactly the same in all respects except for DURABILITY.
If I can resolve the lower ESR higher-quality issue with the capacitors, the Mega can compete with a horridly expensive brand (Lambda) of power supply (for durability). Yes, it'll be more durable than a Meanwell RSVP - which I now own and have yanked down it's drawers and gawked at like the rest of my inventory of power supplies. I like the OEM Meanwell caps better, though.
With a no internal connection to tab TO247 rectifier, it is questionable make that highly questionable to raise w/mm2 thermal insulation via sil pad. Pure unadulturated Arctic Silver between device tab and aluminum case.
