Qty needed (2) of each. Replacement of capacitors and rectifiers is a quantum leap in durability for the weakest parts in the Megawatt. These parts are a snap to change out. Upgrade from 60 amp to 160 amps capacity and to 150 volts PIV. These rectifiers run much cooler than the originals.

The Panasonic ESR capacitors replace the # 1 Megawatt circuit failure component. Like the rectifiers above these capacitors run cooler. I have tortured them and they did not fail.

This is a -can do- upgrade for anyone who can solder.

Home Skillet, thank you so much for clarifying!

In my new-generation MW, though, the slots are fully bovoid. It's one of the recent improvements.

How many of the Panasonic Capacitors is needed per megawatt?
Do I need to buy 2 sets of 4 capacitors or use 2 of the 4 capacitors that are included in the Ebay auction?
  • I'm still trying to figure out how to hook up the jumper cables.
  • not to be facetious
    but BILL
i think you know what filter capacitors
    and rectifiers are

    Am I wrong ?

do you not know what they are, are you unable to look at eBay picture
and understand the Idea at these are higher quality replacement parts
that will extend the life of a megaWatt power supply used as an adjustable battery charger
  • Sure. The Panasonic Megawatt has a few anomalies.

The original machine had a base plate of prefabulated aluminite, surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two main spurving bearings were in a direct line with the pentametric fan. The latter consisted simply of six hydrocoptic marzlevanes, so fitted to the ambifacient lunar waneshaft that side fumbling was effectively prevented. The main winding was of the normal lotus-o-delta type placed in panendermic semi-bovoid slots in the stator, every seventh conductor being connected by a nonreversible tremie pipe to the differential girdlespring on the "up" end of the grammeters.
