I've owned a Trace 4024 since 1988

When starting out charging the unit like any other may charge to it"s limit of 60 amps. It does not have the canines at 60 amps to reach it's set voltage. That is sales speak as BULK. When the charger reaches voltage limit that is saled speak as absorbsion.

When more chargers are added boosting amps to the point where voltage limit is instantly reached I have given it a name. Saturated Charging
In my case saturated charging occurs at 590+ amps.
