Last try is to start the microwave on inverter and then start the generator.
Hopefully the transfer switch will sense generator power and switch over.
If that works it is surge performance. If it fails then the generator is just not putting out rated power.
Microwaves seem to run fine on MSW although at LOWER power due to lower peak voltage.
