If you have an oven it may not be worth the extra cost, however, you may also find you now only use your oven for bigger fixings. Obviously, you will not have to use your propane to cook in the oven, but the convection part also cooks very evenly and often faster. You can also use a combination of microwave and conventional cooking if you want fast cooking. We have only the combo and no oven and we fix full holiday dinners from small turkey and stuffing to the yams, crescent rolls and all. We updated ours from a Sharp (which was good) to a GE Profile and much prefer this unit. Get one with a couple of racks (not just one) if possible for a bit of added flexibility.
