I have two banks, GC2 6v and AGM. They are currently being charged in parallel by a solar system. I have the charge settings set to accommodate both banks. I do have the ability to separate them for equalization or fast charging of either bank.
For the OP's situation, I would upgrade with two more Trojan 12v's and install any type of good battery for the chassis. If the chassis battery needs to be in anything less than vertical orientation, AGM is the clear choice.
