Momentary switch on my Powergear Slide

So it seems if I stop retracting then start again to finish the cycle, the extend (yes extend)side of the momentary switch fails. When I push the extend side nothing happens, but if I push the retract side again, quickly just to see what happens, I can hear a solenoid or something click.
Now when I replace the switch, everything is OK...Now for the heck of it I did a continuity test and both sides of the switch and have continuity. The multimeter shows .6 ohms on both sides so the switch should be ok... The rig is a 2020 Jayco 26XD. The switch is a JR Products 12695 Mom-on/off/Mom-on seems like a very light duty switch for this size slide but that is what the factory installed.
I'm missing something here..

  • It may not have a controller. Some have two relays to operate in/out function.
Is your slide electric or hydraulic?

FWIW, I have spent tons of time on a top to bottom scavenger hunt (even using a remote camera) trying to find my ‘ supposed slide controller’ with the same momentary switch with no luck whatsoever...Former Camper manufacture (now defunct) POC employee had no idea either...On an older thread I can recall one seemingly knowledgable individual say that his camper’s same maker PowerGear Slide-out set-up had no such controller... So far, no troubles for me (fingers crossed) but I’m still in the dark...

  • If the slide is hanging up, the circuit breaker could be tripping and resetting. Bolts pushing up through the floor could be indication (if they are for slide).
  • I'm bringing it in on Sept 23, for the first round of warranty work. I really want to be more familiar with the possibilities so I can tell if they are being straight with me. Good suggestion with the connections I'll double Check them.at least I know how to get the thing to work again. The main reason for the warranty appointment is to take care of the bolts pushing up through the floor....

  • Loose connection on one of the wires?
Does the switch connections have any dark spots?
You may have knocked a piece of debris off a contact in the switch.
  • The switch only send control signal
Your problem is with the relays or control board
