I have heard from other Rv.net members who say that the Honda 3000 watt generator can start the compressor on a hot day, but it actually takes more power to restart the compressor on a hot day. The 3000 watt compressor had trouble restarting the compressor, so they took it back, and bought a pair of Honda 2000 watt generators and linked them together. This works great, and has power to spare.
Many like the idea of a pair of light 'easy to carry' 2000 watt Honda's that are only 47 pounds each. Make sure they are well locked up, as they are easy to steal as well.

They can not advertise their prices online, as Honda stopped selling generators to any dealership that advertises a product for less than the MSRP.
