just a case of an opportunity I didn't want to pass up, in.August we installed a residential apt size electric fridge 7.5 cuft, it's bigger on the inside than the OEM Norcold it gets colder and cools faster
So far fridge + batteries + solar total cost approx $1300, the same dollars as buying a New Lp rv.fridge ( we already had the 1000w inverter and the converter charging capacity )
The solar charging should cover a big hunk of the fridge power use, but we will sill be using the generator for the.big items
I have no misconceptions about becoming " solar only", my desire is simply to reduce the amount of genset run time
