yes I'm wondering about that, it could have been the hazy clouds & dust in the windy air and lack of pure blue clear break in sky from which the previous peak reading occurred, I'm willing to give this a couple of days of monitoring before making any solid conclusions
I did test the panels before mounting and got readings of 3.99 amps & 3.74 amps
3.88 is rated max output and 4.88 is short circuit output, so the sc test was a little low , but this an't july,.and this pair is nine years old, mfg June 2001 so a little age drop is to be expected say maybe 10%, I will know more in a few days
I'm hoping for higher peak readings tomorrow, and I can always check the controller adjustments, they. might be slightly off and not be accurately responding to the increased input
