yes..!!
I have NOT yet hit the peak output my panels should be capable of,
and have not had a sustained output above 15.xxv
thinking about your often quoted statement of figure on 5hrs of full sun per day
I wonder if this is a formula for total output, or just the hrs that will achieve full output ( provided the batteries can accept it )
if you take the total watt hrs of of the last few days and divide by 5hrs, you come near ( plus or minus a bit ) the possible calculated peak rating
theoretically my panels should be able to supply 22.3x amps in full sun
but i have yet to even record a peak over 19amps, and the high avg sustained charge rate is 14.0 t0 15+
but 1669/5 =333.8 watts
my panels won't do this but I do wonder about the 5 hr formula, what does it really refer too ?
BTW:
i finally got around to installing my extra (4) used 12v batteries today
at rest voltage was 12.45 for the set
they were only accepting a 2amp charge, but did this for (2) hrs and was still taking the 2.1amps when charging was terminated
I obviously let them set too long, even though i did use a trickle charger on them 4 times during this period,
I do believe there is harden sulfation and it is going to take some work to remove, I will know in a few days IF they are doing me more harm than good
I can unplug them from the system for treatment with the B&D vec1093DBD charger, but do not have a switch of alternating use of the two banks
their location and the cabling involved simply does NOT allow for this
