Where I live there is a law that limits parking an RV even on your own lot to 4 hours--it is more often than not "winked at" but relying on plugging may not be wise. I've lost two cords to snow blowers already.
I like paragraph #2. It is a good summing up. I'd add that on long distance trips the engine alternator may contribute quite a few amp-hours back to the battery bank.
It's too bad I can't "loan" you a solar system.
Did your $22.00 figure include the cost of fuel for the generator?
The estimated results can also be used to make decisions about panel voltage. I wish MPPT controllers would drop in price and I wish that motor driven tilt platforms were not an arm and a leg.
