The attraction is partly the cool factor. My RV system will never pay for itself while I own it but I just wanted it. I know I could go generator free if I conserved but living in AZ, I need my AC more than occasionally. It is so cool on my home system to see my electric meter going backwards! My power bill this month was $6.82!
I used to run my RV refer 24/7 while parked at home until I realized how much electricity it used. I don't run it now but I could run it totally on solar if I wanted to while my RV is parked at home. What I am wondering how long my batteries would last cycling them daily running the refer via inverter, verses no refer while parked at home and just keeping my batteries topped up with my solar?
