Just spent a week using one of these things down in the Everglades. Have been using it successfully for the last 2 years.

Got it up to 950W boiling up some water outside. It made a lot of fan noise and got hot but did it.

Can't really use anything bigger without upgrading my battery bank 'cause of voltage drop (short 1/0 cables are ok). This inverter starts whining at ~11.6V.
