Mounting inverter in close proximity to AGM batteries

I'm mounting a 2000W Xantrex inverter in my Pleasureway Excel. By far the most practical place to put it is next to my 4 AGM batteries. That's where the transfer switch is and all the other wiring. ...

Does the inverter make noise when in use? (Mine does, so I would not want it under the bed.)
