Mounting inverter in close proximity to AGM batteries

I'm mounting a 2000W Xantrex inverter in my Pleasureway Excel. By far the most practical place to put it is next to my 4 AGM batteries. That's where the transfer switch is and all the other wiring. ...

Surely a person from FL has heard of solar power.
And yes to beat the heat and humidity 24/7 with air-conditioning the generator is a bit more practical.
Although at that point I am looking for hookups. Solar/Battery/Inverter meets all other needs when off-grid.
