Hi Sam,
Full time folk need reliable 120 volt power.
The cheapest source is solar/battery bank/inverter, because it is a one time cost.
The next cheapest is a low cost or free campground.
The most expensive is running a generator.
On October 15, 2015 I was using 20 kwh per day running 100% electrically which includes the fridge (5 kwh), as well as space and water heating needs. I might be able to do 12% of that from solar if I had 500 watts of tilting panels.
