Mine is wireless with a wind speed indicator and temp sensor in one. I drive a small metal stake in the ground and slide a piece of aluminum tubing over the stake/ The sensor is mounted to the top of the tube.....and the tube is approx. 3' tall. I have a range of about 30' for the sensor to work with the inside dislay.
