But you missed the point
IIRC his panels are 250w each for a total of 750w
Rating is something near 30v at 9a
50a at 13v+ = 650 watts , which is less than the max output of the panels
Because of the high altitude camping, The panels can out put 30 amps at near 30v , the MPPT converts that extra voltage into the the higher amps, so you can use ALL of the panels output
