How much solar you need is relative to your needs, camping conditions and expectations.
I find our 230w panel overkill and could do with less. We don't use a lot of power and high altitude gives our panel quite the boost averaging 15a tracking from sun up to sun down. Aside from exercise and AC, the generator hasn't been run this year.
