Looks good. But I see no need to wash the roof except to get a good seal at the mounting points ;)

I did wash the mounting pad area, then clean it with alcohol before installing pads. I lay down the sealant first then secured the pads with three screws on each pad. Once I wash the roof, I will run the sealant tape over the pads to finish it off.
I have to thank everyone for all the information I got before starting this project. Gary
  • I love You Guys who are able to install Neatly laid out Circuits! Mine tend to be less aesthetic looking but seem to function fine. Well Done Sir!
  • OP here. I have three Solar Cynergy 120W panels(plan to added two more). Each panel is wired with 10awg going to the circuit breaker panel. The white breakers are for the panels on the left side of the MH. The red breaker will be used for the right side panel, when installed. From the CB they go to the combiner box post. Then from the Combiner post to the Morningstar TS45 and the batteries(4 GC-2) the wires are #2AWG.I have a 60A fused at batteries on the charge line. The batteries are all wired up with #0AWG and feeds the MH disconnection switch.

Right now, I average 25-35 Ah per day, but I have trees hanging over the panels, but I can keep the bank charged. Best I have seen for now was 19Amp and that was leaving from camping last week. Was parked in the sun early, waiting to get to the dump station in the morning. My solar is more for when we go out towards the west for our winter stay. Gary
  • Nice setup. We run a 840W 6 panel array with a Tri-Star MPPT controller and love it. Our panels are mounted with large thumb screws at the corners so we can raise them on any of 4 axes to get top sun radiation. Our panels are overrated for the controller so we get better output with low sunlight input, but you can only do that with an MPPT controller. A Tri-Star PWM will blow if you deliver too much power from the panels.

  • you must of fixed it
all the photos show for me
nice install, i like the slight tilt on the panels,
and the pvc for the wiring was a nice touch

looks like you only have one picture link in your post.

When you use the 'advanced post' you can click on the little postcard thing, and then enter the URL in the top line (CTRL V) and put in height and width. Not to exceed about 600 wide.

After you click 'finished' then you hit enter a couple of times, so that the pictures are not side by side. Click on the postcard thing, and repeat for all the other pictures.

I hope that you enjoy the solar! I installed my original 90 watt system back in 94, and upgraded through the years to 415 watts! It is so much less expensive today, I could replace my system for about 1/8 what I paid for mine!

    Good luck,

    Fred.

Fred Thanks for the info. Looks like I got to work on this a little more. Photo posting is new to me. My plans is to get to 600 watts.
