There is no alarm on it, only a clock.
I either need it connected to have a clock (and then it will go on and off again), or it will be attached with a kill switch, i.e. blank display. You take screws out of particle board, then put it back in and keep your fingers crossed that it will hold - all this for an ornament where even a clock doesn't work...
Since I'm on it, - why not getting a better radio. With a better FM/AM and half-decent amplifier for music and 2-channel movie sound from laptop. Ideally, it should have HDMI to avoid interference on 3.5mm jack, but this is probably asking too much. What about this source? Parts Epress
C Crane only make portable radios. For this I have Sony ICF-SW7600 with FM/AM/SW/SSB, not Grundig but a "ok".
