won't load, when clicking the link it simply won't load. way too bad we can't get a new technology operating system.

As a moderator here, I think you should try to find some way to ENFORCE that suggestion for people to use a portal that is known to work. At least for those who constantly and repeatedly complain about the ones that do NOT work.
I switched to forums.goodsamclub.com about a year ago and have had ZERO problems since then. "My Forums" has been working fine for me right through the current firestorm of complaints.
