This is only a problem when boondocking and you want to minimize gen time.
I suggest you first find out how well you PD is charging. Get yourself a 100A panel meter & shunt. You can buy them from ebay for less than $20. Discharge battery to 50% SOC and then turn on the PD. Measure current and voltage at converter every 2 min for the first 15 min. You can then increase the measurement time span to 10 min (or longer). Run the test for 2 hours. We can then discuss the best solutions for a faster charge.
It's difficult to fix the PD. You need to increase the transformer turns ratio (Np/Ns). That means either more primary turns or fewer secondary turns.
You can adjust voltage on some generators. Otherwise, a variable autotransformer 0-140VAC 10A VARIAC should work well. EBAY sells them for about $120.
