Myth that socket extensions change torque wrench readings

I have had mechanics and one person who builds competition airplanes swear that torque wrenches are inaccurate when an extension is added. To me, this flies in the face of the Action, Equal and Opposi...

Generally agree. Not exactly 90 degrees though. L1 must equal L2.

Think about a really long crows foot. Say a 3 footer. Are you saying that so long as it is at a 90 degree angle to the torque wrench that it will have no effect?
I disagree with that thought. And if I am right to disagree, then a short crows foot will have the same (of course much less) effect.
