I have and use the Flow-Pur from Camping World (look on line for cheaper options) and it works very well. You will notice the difference immediately and the 10,000 grain unit means I only have to recharge it once a month or so (using fulltime). A somewhat small 8,000 grain unit might need recharging every 2-3 weeks so still not a big deal. The harder the water the more often it needs to be done. Mine came with test strips so you can "read" how well it's working and recharge as necessary.
