so why are you having plugging problems at tub/shower :H
Is shower faucet on same wall as sink? Have you looked up under sink cabinet to see if you can get to faucet?
I had to remove sink from cabinet to change my busted shower faucet.
There has to be some place/way of accessing backside of faucet in shower.
Hidden panel, from underneath etc. The shower is set in place and then plumbed.
Can you remove faucet internals out the front of faucet?
Maybe post some pictures???

I lived there many years ago.......'Bird Track' (north end of lake---off Riverside) It was a tough town in those days!!
