Good to see kids still going into analog engineering. He really missed the point in the differences between sine, msw, and square. Yes, there are harmonics, but there's a bigger impact than that. The sine outputs a peak of 170V. The msw may have a peak of 145V (just guessing) and a square wave outputs only 120V peak. That has a huge impact on peak charging electronics, like the infamous PD converter.
