IMHO, the ultimate propane level indicator in accuracy and dependability, year after year, for RVs would be the tanks that are made out of spun fiberglass so that you can just look at the tank to see the liquid level shadow right through the fiberglass.
I've seen spun fiberglass 5 gallon BBQ propane tanks that one can visually see the liquid level in. But does anyone know if the large built-in propane tanks on RVs can be bought in the spun fiberglass type?
P.S. My 20-25 year old Weber BBQ grill on the deck has a weight scale contents gage on it. Ultra reliable too - no batteries or electronics involved. The gage mechancism is a steel fail-proof mechanism.
