New AC Install

Just got the new Dometic Freshjet 5 15.5k AC/Heat Pump installed that replaced the failed Penguin II in my 22 Kountry Star! I still use the same panel up front, so much quieter, no vibration and it blows cold! Everything works! The work was done at NIRVC in Nashville, and they went way out of their way to get this done! The key to this upgrade for us Newmar Owners with Penguin II and the KIB panel with the HVAC, Tanks, and AGS at this time is that you have to have a working 3312022.000 control board from the old unit or a hard to find new one. My old board had failed but a new one was finally located for this work. The new adapter kit RJ11 to RJ45 for the new Freshjet 5 does nothing for us late model Newmar Owners at this time due to the KIB panel. I know North Trail in Ft Myers Fla for those of you in south Florida is doing the same conversion with the procedure I mentioned. The working old CCC2 board is the key. Hopefully Dometic will come out with a Freshjet 5 CCC2 version that is backwards compatible for us Newmar owners. This service was covered by my extended warranty luckily! It took a while to get this resolved but all is good!
