I wonder if you got a bad batch. I have had pretty good luck with the LEDs I've purchased from the low-cost eBay vendors. They take forever to get here, but the savings on battery and the lack of aggravation in waking up to a dead furnace, keening propane detector, and "check" light on fridge make them worth the time to install.
