The typed word rarely conveys the tone in which it was originally written. The apologies are mine. I know very capable alternators exist. I didn't realize so many newer cars came that capable. Or wired sufficiently to take advantage of that capability. I was rather impressed with how much more a doubled 4awg cable to my battery switch increased charging amps, at rpm. I am not impressed with hot idle speed current. The VR being internal to the ecu has kept me from doing anything more. Bypassing it sets off the check engine light. Cant pass smog with a lit CEL. New ecu is $$$. Ill have to live with it. No biggie. I have other sources. Can always bump rpm to 800 sitting at a red light to make 45 amps. Still have a cold air intake idea to feed back of alternator, but other projects take priority.
