New Boondocker converter test
So I connect it to a pair of 6 volts and measure immediately a whole bunch of amps heading toward my batteries. 64 or so. Is a 60 amp unit. I panicked cause I didn't want to overcharge but my god did...

I assume you folks watch alternator overdrive ratios when changing out alternators from original OEM?
FWIW and for some engineering reason, Ford uses a 2.72 pulley overdrive ratio on our E450's 130 amp alternator and the alternator's performance chart of amps versus atlernator RPM is of course based on this number.
